Night closures of the Mont Blanc Tunnel. Disruptions on the France–Italy corridor

The Mont Blanc Tunnel operator has scheduled maintenance works for March and April 2026, which will result in night-time traffic disruptions. The restrictions may affect international transport on the France–Italy corridor, particularly for operations carried out during night hours.

Full tunnel closures (both directions)

◾ March 9 (Monday), 19:00–06:00
◾ March 19 (Thursday), 23:30–04:00

❌ April:
◾ April 13 (Monday), 22:00–06:00
◾ April 14 (Tuesday), 22:00–06:00
◾ April 15 (Wednesday), 22:00–06:00
◾ April 16 (Thursday), 22:00–06:00

During the above hours, transit through the tunnel will not be possible in either direction.

Alternating one-way traffic (22:30–06:00)

On these dates, traffic will operate alternately in one lane, which may cause delays, especially during periods of heavier truck traffic.
