The Netherlands: disruptions for carriers on the A4, A15, A24 and A67 routes

Carriers passing through the Netherlands should prepare for further disruptions. Major motorways are simultaneously undergoing repair and modernization works, involving both night closures and multi-day shutdowns of individual sections.

Maintenance and modernization works are being carried out simultaneously on several key motorways in the Netherlands, including routes important for international transport. The disruptions affect major road corridors in the Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Eindhoven areas, as well as connections with Belgium. Drivers must expect night closures, multi-day shutdowns and phased traffic restrictions.

Below is a summary of the most important disruptions

✅ A15 (Benelux – Vaanplein, Rotterdam)
On the A15, on the Benelux – Vaanplein section towards Rotterdam, the parallel carriageway is scheduled to be closed. The disruptions will last from 24 April, 21:00 until 4 May, 05:00. Diversions have been arranged via the A20, A4, A16, A24 and through Botlek.

❌ During the works, the following will also be closed periodically:
◾ Rotterdam-Heijplaat exit (18),
◾ Rotterdam-Charlois exit (19),
◾ Rotterdam-Zuidplein exit (19a),
◾ A29 connecting ramps.

Additionally, from 8 to 11 May, the main carriageway of the A15 on the Benelux – Vaanplein section towards Rotterdam will also be closed.

✅ A67 (Belgian border – Eindhoven)
On the A67 motorway, on the section from the Belgian border to Eindhoven, in the direction of Eindhoven, nighttime asphalt works will be carried out. Diversions will be designated locally in accordance with road signage.

❌ The disruptions are scheduled for:
◾ 28 April, 21:00 – 29 April, 05:00,
◾ 29 April, 21:00 – 30 April, 05:00,
◾ 30 April, 21:00 – 1 May, 05:00.

✅ A4 (De Hoek – Den Ruygen Hoek-West)
On the De Hoek – Den Ruygen Hoek-West section near Hoofddorp, the parallel carriageway of the A4 towards Rotterdam will be closed. The disruptions apply from 17 April to 4 May.

❌ The scope of works includes:
◾ the parallel carriageway of the A4 towards Rotterdam,
◾ Hoofddorp (3) and Hoofddorp-Zuid (3A) exits,
◾ the A4 connector from the Amsterdam direction to the A5 towards Haarlem.

Transit traffic has been redirected to the main carriageway of the A4, while local traffic is being diverted via the A4, A5 and the local road network.

✅ A24 (Blankenburg – Maasdeltatunnel / Hollandtunnel)
On the Vlaardingen – Rozenburg section, full and directional night closures will be carried out. The disruptions will last until December 2026. Diversions have been designated via the A20, A4 and A15.

❌ Closures in both directions are scheduled for:
◾ 22 June, 22:00 – 23 June, 05:00,
◾ 24 August, 22:00 – 25 August, 05:00,
◾ 9 November, 22:00 – 10 November, 05:00,
◾ 30 November, 22:00 – 1 December, 05:00.

❌ In the direction of Vlaardingen, from the Rozenburg side, closures are scheduled for:
◾ 9 June, 22:00 – 10 June, 05:00,
◾ 25 August, 22:00 – 26 August, 05:00,
◾ 29 September, 22:00 – 30 September, 05:00,
◾ 10 November, 22:00 – 11 November, 05:00.

❌ In the direction of Rozenburg / Europoort, from the Vlaardingen side, the disruptions will include:
◾ 8 June, 22:00 – 9 June, 05:00,
◾ 27 August, 22:00 – 28 August, 05:00,
◾ 28 September, 22:00 – 29 September, 05:00,
◾ 11 November, 22:00 – 12 November, 05:00.
