Covid tests no longer required from HGV drivers coming from the UK
Since Tuesday, January 4, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has been designated as a high-risk area.
This means that HGV drivers will no longer be required to take a Covid test before entering Germany.
The following rules apply to HGV drivers who in the 10 days prior to entering Germany have stayed in an area classified as a „high risk“ area (including Poland):
✅ OBLIGATION TO REGISTER: none
✅ OBLIGATION TO FURNISH PROOF: none
✅ OBLIGATION TO SELF-ISOLATE: none
A list of countries currently classified as high-risk areas can be found on the RKI website.
